Lack of association between vitamin D insufficiency and clinical outcomes of patients with COVID-19 infection

Abstract Background A protective effect of vitamin D against COVID-19 infection is under investigation. We aimed to analyze the sufficiency on clinical outcomes patients infected with COVID-19. Methods In this cross-sectional study we analyzed levels who were admitted Razi Hospital (an infectious disease referral center in Mazandaran province northern Iran) from February March 2020. Overall, a cutoff point 30 ng/mL was used for definition sufficiency. Results One hundred fifty-three had laboratory documentation 25(OH) level at time hospitalization.
